ABOUT ME

I’m a freelance writer, specialising in film, and I’ve written short films and documentaries for clients such as the United Nations and the Jane Goodall Institute.

I also write film trailers – my trailer for Luc Besson’s  Adele Blanc-Sec was nominated for the Don LaFontaine Award at the Golden Trailer Awards in 2012. I have written the trailers for British thrillers Bonded By Blood and The Veteran, as well as foreign language feature films, including the acclaimed Tropa De Elite 2, and  Arrietty, the latest film from Studio Ghibli.

TV spots I have written include Final Destination 5, Happy Feet Two, Red Riding Hood and the Vampire Diaries.

As well as screen writing, I also write website content and I regularly contribute articles to a number of established sites and blogs, such as mi6-hq.com – the world’s largest unofficial James Bond website – and lifestyle blogs such as The Prodigal Guide and The Modern Gentleman.

As well as website content, I also produce copy for various print media, including regular articles for Mi6 Confidential magazine and the F311 Newspaper for FACTORY311, a leading image production agency, based in London’s Soho.

In my spare time, I write feature screenplays and short fiction and I am currently in the process of writing my first novel.

As you’ll see from this blog, I have a number of interests, but all of these coalesce to represent a simple love of life and the almost childish pleasure that can be derived from something that has been beautifully made with both precision and passion.

I try not to take myself (or anything else for that matter) too seriously, but I do always try to conduct myself with courtesy and humility. I believe that, even today, there is a place in the world for chivalry and there is still such a thing as a gentleman.

  1. Wow, what a great blog this is! I’ve added it to my own. I’m a life-long Bond fan and an aspiring screenwriter, (at the tender age of 47!).
I suppose it was only a matter of time before I found this blog. Great job, well done!
